A Max Air flight carrying 119 passengers and 6 crew members from Yola Airport to Abuja on Sunday evening experienced a serious incident as multiple tyres burst during the takeoff roll. According to reports, the aircraft initially suffered a burst in two of its rear gear tyres. As the takeoff roll continued, a loud bang was heard, indicating that two more tyres had burst, bringing the total to four out of the aircraft's six tyres. Despite the malfunction, the pilots were able to safely abort the takeoff and bring the aircraft to a stop on the runway. All 119 passengers and 6 crew members were evacuated without any injuries reported.
