Buying data on a Moniepoint POS (Point of Sale) machine is a simple and straightforward processes. There are two main ways to buy data on Moniepoint; through the Moniepoint POS Machine (if you are a merchant) and through Moniepoint Banking App.

Buying Data on Moniepoint POS Terminal

Here’s a step-by-step guide to purchase Data on the Moniepoint POS terminal:

1. Power on the Moniepoint POS Device: First of all, ensure the device is fully charged or plugged in. Then press the power button to turn it on.

2. Login to Your Account: Next, you have to enter your username and password or any required authentication details like OTP to email or registered phone number to log in to the Moniepoint POS Account.

3. Navigate to the Airtime/Data Menu: On the home screen, click on “Airtime/Data” option and choose the option for “Data” to proceed with buying data.

4. Choose the Network Provider: Next, you'll gave to select the network provider (e.g., MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9mobile) for which you want to purchase data.

5. Enter the Phone Number: Now, input the phone number that will receive the data. Double-check to ensure the number is correct.

6. Select Data Plan: Choose the data plan you wish to purchase from the available options. Plans may vary in data volume and validity periods.

7. Confirm the Purchase: Now, review the details of your purchase, including the phone number and data plan and confirm the transaction. You'll be required to input your Moniepoint PIN to authentic the transaction.

8. Complete the Transaction: The POS system will process the transaction. Wait for the confirmation message, which typically includes a transaction receipt.

9. Receive Confirmation: After that, a confirmation message will be sent to the phone number indicating that the data purchase was successful. The POS machine will also print a receipt for the data purchase.

10. Save the Receipt: Once the receipt is printed, keep it as proof of purchase in case any issues arise.

Alternatively, you can buy data via the Moniepoint Mobile App. To do that, kindly open the Moniepoint App and Login using your email and password. Tap on "Buy Data" and input the phone number to receive the data. Enter amount and confirm the transaction with your PIN.
