Moniepoint ATM Card
Moniepoint ATM card is a financial product issued by Moniepoint. It allows you to access funds from your Moniepoint account through ATMs and make payments at POS terminals.
The Moniepoint ATM Card essentially functions like a regular ATM/debit card, offering convenience for cash withdrawals and everyday transactions. It's usually Verve Card which also works for online/web transactions on Naira accepted website.
Upon request, the Moniepoint card will be delivered to your doorstep within 48 hours. However, it's important to know that obtaining the ATM card requires having a Moniepoint account. If you don't already have one, you can create one through their app in about five minutes.
Managing the Moniepoint ATM Card
You can activate and deactivate your card directly through the Moniepoint app. Here's how:
- Log in to your Moniepoint account and sign in using your email and password.
- In your dashboard, search for the "Cards" section within the app. It's usually indicated by an icon.
- Identify the card you want to activate. It'll be listed under "Cards Awaiting Delivery".
- Now, click on "Activate Now" button for the debit card.
- Enter the card 10-digit activation code. You'll find the activation code on the paperwork that came with your card.
- Now, set your card transaction PIN. You'll have to choose a secure PIN (Personal Identification Number) you'll use for the ATM transactions and POS payments.
- Next, you'll be required to aet the card spending limits. This helps add more security to the spending debit card.
- Confirm and Activate: Once you've entered the code, PIN, and any limits, confirm the details and proceed with activation. The app should notify you that your card is now active.
However, to deactivate your Moniepoint ATM card for security reasons, log in to the Moniepoint app, navigate to the "Cards" section, find the specific card and select "Block Card." Choose a reason for deactivation (lost card, suspicion of fraud, etc.), confirm the action, and your card will be immediately blocked from further transactions.
