Microsoft is giving Malaysia a lot of money, $2.2 billion, to help with technology. The tech-giamt want to focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing. This means Microsoft will make smart computers and store information online.

This investment marks the single largest investment by Microsoft in its 32-year history in Malaysia. Microsoft also plans to establish an AI Center of Excellence, fostering local expertise and innovation in this rapidly evolving field.

The CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, said they want to help Malaysia use AI to grow and help everyone. They plan to teach 200,000 people about AI to make sure more Malaysians can work with this technology.

"We are invested in supporting Malaysia's AI transformation and ensuring its benefits reach all Malaysians," Nadella said in a statement.

Microsoft is also doing similar things in other Southeast Asian countries. The people behind Microsoft think this region has a lot of potential for technology.
