The ability or festures to request Money on OPay is not available on the fintech app. Previously, the option was available on the fintech counterpart - PalmPay but because it was being used for fraud, the request money festures was disabled.
However, to request Money on OPay, you will have to chat your beneficiary directly using messaging apps like WhatsApp or Telegram and tell him or her to send you money to your OPay Account.
Previously, to request money from someone using OPay, you can follow these steps:
- Open the OPay app on your device.
- Navigate to the "Payments" or "Transfer" section.
- Select the option to "Request Money" or "Request Payment."
- Enter the recipient's phone number or select them from your contacts.
- Input the amount you want to request.
- Add a note or reason for the request if needed.
- Confirm the request.
The recipient will receive a notification prompting them to fulfill your request.
