FCMB is one of the leading financial/commercial institutions/banks in Nigeria and many Nigerians are using it for their daily finances.
But it's unfortunate that many people would go-to bank, register an account, get ATM card and forget to activate USSD transfer code for the bank account.
However, activating USSD Transfer Code for your FCMB Account is something easy. Infact, you can do it without using an ATM card.
In this article, I will walk you through how you can easily activate your FCMB transfer code from the comfort of your home; I mean without going to bank.
Activating FCMB Transfer Code without ATM Card
Follow these steps to successfully activate USSD transfer code on your FCMB Account:
On your FCMB registered phone number, dial *329#, and instructions like the one in the image below will pop-out.
Read the instructions and accept it if you're comfortable with it.
Now, proceed with the onscreen prompts to complete the USSD transfer code activation.
However, to activate the USSD code without using ATM card, kindly skip the section where it say "select your ATM" and use OTP code instead.
An OTP code will be sent to your registered phone number. Confirm the code and proceed with the Activation.
Now, you will be required to setup your USSD PIN. It's usually 4-digits transaction code. Create the PIN and you're good to go.
What you can do with FCMB's *329# Transfer Code
To access various banking services conveniently via USSD, simply dial *329# from your mobile phone and follow the prompts.
If you need to top up your mobile phone, dial *329*Amount#. For internet service provider payments, dial *329*Account/CustomerID# and select your preferred provider.
To top up other mobile phones, dial *329*Amount*Mobile number#, or for fund transfers, dial *329*Amount*Account number#.
For checking your account balance, dial *329*00#, and to reset your PIN or create a transaction code, dial *329*0#.
To purchase data on any phone, dial *329*1*Mobile Number#. For managing your debit card, including blocking it, dial *329#, select self-service, then card management, and choose block card.
Similarly, to block your account or link your BVN, follow the prompts by dialing *329# and selecting the appropriate options.
To request a statement, dial *329#, select statement, then choose between a full statement or a mini statement for your last five transactions.
For electricity bill payments, dial *329*3*Amount*Meter No# or *329*3*Amount*AccountID#. If you need to block your USSD profile or bank account, dial *329*911#.
Lastly, to pay for services like Startimes or DSTV/GOTV, use *329*Amount*SmartcardNo# or *329*2*Amount*SmartcardNo# respectively.
